My doctor kept saying "the P in PRK stands for patience" that made me really frustrated while my eyes were healing, which was about 2-3 months. I started to worry that I wouldn't be able to see clearly again.
However, low and behold, my vision became clear again and I could see 20/20. It felt like a miracle and still, 3 years later, when I wake up in the morning and can see the clock without the help of glasses and my eyes are not red and irritated from contacts, I am so thankful.
It is the best $4000 I have ever spent. I definitely recommend it. I wish my doctor had been a little clearer about the recovery time but in "hindsight" I "see" what he meant :)
