Laser Eye Surgery Reviews: General

Last Friday I had LASIK done in both eyes. Intralase for the flap cutting and Allegretto for the rest. I was 20/400+ in both eyes (with some starbursts at night) pre-op, and at my 24 hours post-op checkup I was at 20/15. I was wearing progressive bifocals with a mild reading glass correction, but so far I can read newsprint comfortably in well-lit conditions without any reading glasses.
The starbursts are gone, but have been replaced with mild halos, although we get so much rain, mist, and fog this time of year I'm not yet sure it isn't the weather. There was no real pain afterwards, just some scratchiness for 12 hours or so. While I am still a bit light sensitive, that is fading with each day and I haven't noticed any inflammation or additional dry eye symptoms.
I had LASIK treatment almost 2 years ago now. I have found my sight since has been excellent, although I have always suffered with Halo's and Starbursts, mainly at night, which never really improved. Despite this, I was very happy with the outcome as my vision has been 20/20 ever since and is still excellent now.
However, I have noticed recently (over the last month or two) that my vision has become increasingly hazy and foggy which is much more noticeable at night when looking at lights, TV, digital displays etc, etc.. As I said, this has become much worse over the last couple of months and I'm becoming increasingly worried that this could continue to worsen.
Has anybody else suffered with a similar deterioration. Like, I said, my vision is still generally very good other than this increased fogging which is becoming a worry.
I had this procedure done about 6 years ago too and I love it. I had 20/600 in both eyes. The Dr told me 20/800 is legally blind. I believe it. I am thrilled with the procedure and would definitley recommend it, but also agree, please check out more than one Dr or get referrals. Though my procedure went well and so did my husband's and son, I have a neighbor where it didn't go so well. Don't go to the cheapest doctor you can find, go to the best doctor you can find. After all these are your eyes and you want to use them forever. My mother has macular degeneration and has lost 60% of her eyesight. I don't even know how you get that... do you ???
The only thing is with this procedure, is if you are over 40 , most likely you will have to wear reading glasses, but I can deal with that. I can now go swimming, drive, go snorkeling etc without wearing glasses or contacts.... I Love It !!!!!
I had my surgery on 4/18/08, today is 4 days later. When I was researching Lasik Vision Institute Burlington MA, I was surprised at what limited information/reviews were available on the Internet. I did some searches, and only came up with one (fairly negative) review. So, I am going to give a detailed review and description of my experience....(read the whole review)
