Laser vision correction has become one of North America's most frequently performed procedures. But all laser vision correction providers are not created equal. That's why understanding how to get the best possible results, the safest way, is so important.
TLC doctors were among the first to perform the LASIK procedure, and our network of highly trained optometrists and ophthalmologists continue to be instrumental in its refinement. Our affiliation with some of the most experienced doctors in the industry and our commitment to high quality patient care has made TLC North America's largest provider of laser vision correction services and has earned TLC a reputation for excellence.

At Tauber Eye Center, we are committed to your safety. We believe that not everyone is a good candidate for LASIK eye surgery. Only careful examination of your eyes and your individual case/needs will determine whether LASIK is right for you. LASIK is generally a very safe procedure. The most significant complications are often the result of poor candidates undergoing the LASIK procedure. As a corneal and dry eye specialty center, we are fully equipped to handle all aspects of your eye care. We welcome your questions and concerns about laser vision correction and wish to answer each question to your satisfaction. We take the time to educate you on the risks and benefits of LASIK surgery, alternate treatment options, and to answer all your questions.

Our Doctors are specially trained corneal surgeons who have completed a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship. In additions to LASIK, they routinely perform cornea transplants and other corneal surgeries, and have taught these techniques to other surgeons.
We use a Star S3 Visx laser, which is FDA approved for the correction of myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. The S3 has active eye tracking as well as the ability to perform a wider treatment zone for patients with large pupils. Although the technical aspects of the LASIK procedure are certainly important, as with any surgery the surgeon's personal attention to the unique needs of each patient is of equal importance. Unlike many LASIK practices, our surgeons personally perform each patient's preoperative evaluation to determine the type of procedure which would benefit the patient most and personally answer questions.

When you're considering laser vision correction, it's important to know what your surgeon and his practice have to offer. Dr. Yang and his staff want you to make an informed decision.
Dr. Yang is using the most advanced technology for LASIK - the VISX Star S4 laser, which is FDA approved for the widest range of treatment for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. In conjunction with the VISX laser, we use the most advanced microkeratome available. Other laser technology available can increase your risk of glare and haloes at night. Other microkeratome technology can increase your risk for flap complications and discomfort.
